This blog is run by graduate students in the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics (catchily known as DTAL) at Cambridge. We will be writing on a wide variety of topics including our own research, common misconceptions about language and news stories about linguistics that excite (or infuriate) us.

Details of who we are and what we do can be found here, or at the Cambridge Language Sciences pages, here.

It goes without saying, this is a blog not a refereed journal! We hope you’ll find our posts interesting, and Language Sciences as fascinating as we do. But remember that some of the posts may be exploratory, and we’re very happy to hear any comments (or corrections!) you may have. Please do get in touch!
